First and foremost, unbox your Printer carefully and remove all packaging material to initiate the HP Printer Setup.
After that, you should remove plastic tapes from each part without damaging the printer.
Then, set the Paper Tray and properly load it with specified Paper Sheets.
Now, connect the Printer to a stable Power Source like a wall socket using its Power Cord. Thereafter, turn it on by pressing its Power button for HP Printer Setup.
Consequently, your Printer’s Power Lamp and Control/ Display Panel will lit up. Along with that, Printer’s Initialization process will start.

* Wireless Configuration

After that, press the Printer’s Power button and turn it on.
Now, access your Printer’s Control Panel and go to its Home Screen. For this, press the Home icon on the Panel.
Before proceeding further, it is important to remember one thing. The following steps may vary slightly based on your specific Printer Model. For instance, if your Printer’s Control Panel has a Touchscreen. Then, you should tap on the required icons on the Panel. However, in the case of Printers with Touchpads, you will have the Arrow keys and “OK” button. You should use them to move and select options from the Display window.
Next, you should locate and select ‘Setup”.
Thereafter, select “Network” followed by “Wireless Network Wizard”.
As a result, HP Printer Setup will search Networks available within its range. As such, you will get a list of such Networks on its Display window.
Therefore, select your Network’s Name from this list. Then, select “OK”.
Thereafter, you must provide the Security Password for your Network. Then, select “OK”.
Consequently, HP Printer Setup will establish a connection between Printer and the Network. Therefore, wait for it.
Once the connection setup completes, you should select “Finish” or “Done”.
* Wired Configuration
For wired configuration, you have two alternatives depending on the infrastructure of your HP Printer and Router.
The first option is to connect the Printer directly to the Router. For this, you should use an Ethernet/ LAN cable. Hence, plug in one end of the cable to your Printer’s LAN Port. You will find it on the backside of your Printer. Simultaneously, plug in the cable’s other end to your Router’s LAN Port. As a result, the configuration of your HP Printer Setup is complete.
On the other hand, you can hook up the Printer to your “Computer” directly by means of a USB Cable.

* HP Printer Driver Download
First of all, you should turn on the “Computer” on which you want to install the HP Printer Setup.
In addition to that, connect the system to a stable, high-speed Internet Connection.
Now, disconnect the Printer from the Computer in case if it is hooked up with a USB Cable.
After that, launch any Web Browser of your choice on your “Computer”. For example, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox etc.
Next, you should open the official website for HP Printer Setup. In other words, type in “123.hp.com” in the Address Bar of your Browser. Then, hit the “Enter” key from your keyboard.
Consequently, it will take you to the required webpage. Here, you will notice a “Search Bar” seeking your Printer’s Model Number. Therefore, you should enter the Model Number correctly in this text box.
However, in case if you are not aware of your Printer’s Model Number. Then, this window can assist you in locating the same. For this, go to “Where’s the model number?” and place your cursor over it. This option is available underneath the Model Number Search Bar. Once you get the Printer’s Model Number, enter it in the Search Bar.
Subsequently, click on the “Search” tab.
As a result, the Printer Download window will open up on your system. This window displays a secure download link for HP Printer Setup. Therefore, click the “Download” button to initiate the downloading process.

HP Printer Driver Installation
* Install Driver On Windows
First and foremost, you should locate the Driver Software on your system that was downloaded in the last step. For this, check the default download location of your system, usually, the “Downloads” folder.
After that, open the same by double-clicking on it.
Now, it will open a Security Warning pop-box. Here, you should select “Run” for HP Printer Setup.
The following window will provide the User Account Control menu box prompting you to permit for making the required changes. Therefore, permit the same by selecting the “Yes” button.
On the following Welcome window, click “Continue”.
As a result, it will open the Software Selection window. Here, you should click the tab for “Customize Software Selection”.
As such, you will get a list of available software for installation. Hence, select those that have to be installed. Then, click “Next”.
Subsequently, you will get the License Agreement on the following window. Now, closely review the terms for HP Printer Setup.
Then, select the checkbox beside “I accept the terms in the License Agreement”.

Now, it will open a Security Prompt. Here, you should select “Open” for HP Printer Setup.
The following window will provide the “End User License Agreement” and “Privacy Statement” links. Therefore, click on the links one-by-one and open the documents. Then, review the terms and close the documents.
After this, accept “End User License Agreement” and “Privacy Statement” by selecting the respective checkboxes.
Then, click “Continue” to proceed with the HP Printer Setup.
The next window will display instructions to turn on the HP Printer and connect it to the Network. Hence, follow the same and complete the steps properly.
In addition to that, it requires you to confirm that your HP Mac Device and HP Printer are connected to the same “Network”.
The following pop-up box requires your permission to “Restore Printer’s Network Settings”. As such, permit the same only if Printer and Mac are not connected to the same “Network”. For this, click “Yes”. Otherwise, select “No”.
Subsequently, follow on-screen instructions and complete the Network Connection.
On the next window, you will get a list of available Driver Software for HP Printer Setup. Now, select the ones for Installation.
